Crystal Of The Month: Clear Quartz

Clear quartz is a very abundant mineral and is found throughout the world. Major quartz deposits are located in Brazil, Arkansas, China, Peru and Madagascar. Some clear quartz specimens contain inclusions of other minerals such as chlorite, rutile or black tourmaline. Clear quartz clarity ranges from water-clear to translucent, milky white.

Clear Quartz is appropriate for all chakras. Quartz works well with other stones, amplifying their properties. It is said to aid memory (maybe I should tape one to my head). A good choice for meditation, clear quartz helps connect with spirit guides.

Clear Quartz is a wonderful crystal to have in your environment. Whether you have single point or a cluster, clear quartz adds a bright vibration to a room's atmosphere. They also work great in a garden.

Interesting clear quartz fact: Quartz is piezoelectic, meaning it can transform mechanical energy (pressure) into electromagnetic energy and vice versa. This property makes clear quartz useful in the production of watches, radios, televisons and other industrial and medical equipment. (1)
